Wood Frame

The wood frame system uses a load-bearing structure of studs and crossbeams that forms the skeleton of the home. It is a method proven over centuries in northern Europe and North America, adapted here to the Mediterranean climate.

Its greatest advantage is versatility: it allows open floor plans, large windows and complete freedom in both interior and exterior design. Timber also provides natural insulation far superior to steel or concrete, and it ages beautifully when properly treated – blending naturally into the Mediterranean landscape.

Straw Modules

Straw modules use compressed bales as insulation material within structural panels. Straw is an abundant, locally sourced agricultural by-product with extraordinary insulating capacity: a straw wall can achieve thermal insulation values two to three times higher than a conventional wall.

The result is a home that needs very little energy to heat or cool, with a stable and comfortable indoor environment throughout the year. And no, straw does not rot or catch fire: correctly installed and protected, it is as durable and safe as any modern building material – and considerably more renewable.
